WASHINGTON, April 27: A Pakistani American, Akhtar Chaudhry, has been named the chief administrative officer of the Jackson County, Missouri, reports said on Sunday.

Mr Chaudhry has a background of 30 years of private sector management.

Jackson County is one of the most prominent counties in Missouri and contains most of Kansas City and 17 other cities and towns. It has a total population of around 650,000 within 607 square miles.
