Justice Qazi Gul dies

ISLAMABAD, April 25: Justice Qazi Mohammad Gul (retired) expired here on Friday. He was 92.

The deceased hailed from Chakwal district. He retired from the Supreme Court in 1975. He remained federal law secretary for over four years. He was appointed judge of Lahore High Court in 1964 and elevated to the Supreme Court in 1973.

He also served as Chief Election Commissioner of AJK for ten years after retirement from the apex court. He also served as member Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) for two terms.

His Nimaz-i-Jinaza would be offered at Islamabad graveyard at 10 am on Saturday. His house is located in street 63, house number 15, F/7-3 Islamabad.
