Fees refund ordered

SWABI, April 24: The provincial education department has ordered the government middle and high schools to refund the tuition and admission fees collected from the students during the current academic session, Dawn has learnt.

The order has been issued to implement the cabinet decision about free education and the schools have been instructed not to collect fees from the students.

From the class 6th to 8th, an admission fee of Rs8 per annum and tuition fee of Rs72 per annum and for class 9th and 10th, the same admission fee and Rs96 per annum tuition fee was being collected.

COMPETITION: Nepal Post is holding a letter writing competition for children up to 15 years of age of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) countries.

The topic for the competition is “Importance of post office in the age of Internet and e-mail.”—Correspondent
