KARACHI, April 10 The government issued a notification on Saturday extending the term of Syed Ali Raza as President of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) for a period of one year commencing from July 1, 2010.

Mr Raza was appointed in 2000 for three years and got two extensions of three-year. This is his fourth extension.

Last year, the government extended his tenure for another one year, which is due to be ended on June 30, 2010.

However, he succeeded to get another extension of one year much before the lapse of the current tenure.
