NAWABSHAH, April 23: The adviser to the Sindh chief minister for forests and wildlife has stressed the need for taking measures to control illegal cutting of forests.

Presiding over a meeting of forest officials at Pai Forest, Sakrand, on Wednesday, the adviser, Syed Ejaz Ali Shah Shirazi, said action would be taken against inefficient officers.

He also called for taking measures against encroachments and unauthorized cultivation.

The conservator of forests, Hyderabad, Mohammad Umer Memon, briefed the adviser about various activities and ongoing projects being carried out under the Sindh Forestry Development Project.

The Sindh chief conservator gave a briefing about the progress of development projects.—Correspondent
