SUKKUR, April 21: Sindh Chief Minister Ali Mohammad Khan Mahar has said the government is utilizing its resources to provide maximum facilities to people.

He said this while presiding over a high-level meeting at the Mahar House, Khangarh, on Monday.

Mr Mahar said the government was taking measures to resolve people’s grievances at their doorstep.

He said top priority was being given to health and education sectors.

He said computer centres would be established in every district and ambulance service would be provided to health institutions.

The executive health officer, Ghotki, Hussain Bukhsh Memon, told the meeting the health department faced problems during the recent polio campaign in the Ghotki district because of shortage of doctors.

The EDO, works, gave a briefing about the progress of development schemes being carried out in the district.

The executive engineer, public health, said 21 schemes were under way in the public health sector.

The chief minister directed the officers concerned to ensure completion of development schemes within the stipulated time.

ACCIDENT: Two children were killed on Sunday after being hit by a long-haul trailer (PN-5492) near Mehroo Wah along the National Highway in Ghotki.

Both the children, Sajid, son of EDO (education) Abdul Aziz Hakro, and Anwar Ali, son of Rahim Bukhsh Hakro, were playing near the Mehroo Wah at the time of the accident.
