KARACHI, April 21: Senator Prof Ghafoor Ahmed of Jamaat-i- Islami, accused on Monday the government of encouraging “terrorists” to harass students in educational institutions.
“The provincial government is supporting terrorism in educational institutions. If these acts of terrorism are not stopped, it will have serious consequences for the government,” he said at JPMC which he visited to inquire after the health of injured students.
“Things have become so bad in Karachi that armed terrorists are kidnapping students at their homes and subjecting them to torture,” he said and deplored that “there is nobody to protect students in the city.”
The Jamaat leader was of the view that “the federal government has left the people of Sindh at the mercy of anti-social elements.” — PPI
