Two murdered in Lahore

LAHORE, April 19: Two people were murdered and as many injured in different parts of the city on Saturday.

Amir Husain told police that his daughter Rizwana, 10, was sleeping in the house in Badami Bagh. He said when the family woke up in the morning she was missing from the house. After a search, her body was found lying in a plot adjacent to the house. A rope was wrapped around her neck.

Amir suspected that the killers molested his daughter before killing her. The body was sent to the city mortuary for autopsy. The police are investigating.

A labourer was clubbed to death while his fellow was injured on the Ravi Road.

Police said Gul Munir Khan, 40, and Himat Khan were sleeping in the open when unidentified men attacked them with clubs. The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital where Munir succumbed to his injuries while the condition of Himat stated to be critical.

Area people claimed that Munir fell victim to “danda group”.

Similarly, unidentified men attacked a vendor Ghafoor, 35, with sticks when he was asleep in the open in the Badami Bagh area, and left him seriously injured.
