MIRPURKHAS, April 17: People’s Party Parliamentarians MNA Nawab Mohammad Yousuf Talpur has condemned the threats of martial law by Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali and his cabinet members.

In a statement issued here on Thursday ahead of the National Assembly session, the PPP leader said such threats could not divert attention from the Legal Framework Order or any other issue involving the nation’s constitutional sovereignty and integrity.

He said no president could address the joint session of the parliament unless he was elected by the parliament.

He said only the parliament could approve the LFO, and that too with a two-third majority.
