At the close of the first day of this four-day final, Lahore Blues had already piled up 318 runs and had lost seven wickets in the process.
Skipper Salman Butt hit up 69 off 111 balls and struck five fours but it was Khaqan who stole the show cracking 16 boundaries during a fruitful stay at the crease in which he faced 182 deliveries.
His marvellous innings was ended by medium pace Umer Gul who had him caught by Mohammad Idrees.
Umer finished the day with four wickets for which he conceded 88 runs. Manzoor Khan was the other wicket-taker with two for 78.
