KARACHI, Oct 10:Javed Vohra was declared the champion of the 10th Arabian Sea sportfishing (TAS) with a prize catch of a giant Trevally weighing 31.5 Kgs.

A total of 103 anglers took part in the keenly contested event and winners were declared in the different categories.

Results: Champion of the tournament: Javed Vohra (31.5 Kg giant Trevally ), runner up Shamsul Hasan ( 26.5Kg Cobia), and 3rd position went to Shoiab Ahmed (21.5 Kg Cobia).

Team events: 1st position Captain Muhammad Afzal and angler Mehmood Dilbar (11 fishes over 3 Kg category), 2nd position: Captain Farooq Ahsanuddin with angler Basir Shamsi ( 10 fishes over 3 Kgs) and 3rd position to Captain Tariq Zaidi with anglers Munsif Zaidi, Saleem Ahmed, Yousaf Haroon And Zubair Qazi ( 7 fishes over 3 Kgs).

Child angler category: Muhammad Adil was declared child angler of the tournament for catching a 7 Kg Mackerel while runners up was angler Ayesha Fazil who caught a barracuda weighing 4 Kgs.
