KARACHI, April 13: Chief Minister Sindh, Sardar Ali Mohammed Khan Mahar has said that he would ensure that the province gets its rightful share of water according to the accord.
Addressing a representative delegation at the chief minister’s house on Sunday, he said all-out efforts would be made to ensure that the water supply to the province remained satisfactory.
He said that the experts and official representatives were presenting Sindh’s case at every level effectively.
He said that the administration and law enforcement agencies have special instructions to maintain law and order and that negligence in this regard will be tolerated.
Mr Mehar said that a strategy had been formulated to curb crime at the inter-provincial level, particularly in the Jacobabad district.
The chief minister attached great importance to Sindh’s history saying that his government was determined to protect and preserve places of historical importance.
Similarly, he said revolutionary steps have been taken in the education sector and, in this regard two model schools each for boys and girls were being established at every taluka.
Provincial ministers also attended the meeting.—APP
