LARKANA, April 26 Chairperson of Pakistan People's Party (SB) Ghinwa Bhutto has rejected the demarcation of the agriculture land of the Bhutto family and said that it can only be done in the presence of all stakeholders.

Addressing a press conference at Al-Murtaza House here on Sunday, she claimed that Mir Murtaza Bhutto himself had rejected the demarcation of the Bhutto estate when Benazir Bhutto had proposed it to him.

She alleged that Sanam Bhutto had done it at gunpoint and said they wanted to support her but she had not been in touch with them. Ms Ghinwa said that her children were not in contact with Sanam because she had gone back on her promise to withdraw a case (about 70 Clifton) from the court.

She said that due to life threats, Zulfikar Bhutto Junior, Fatima Bhutto and Sassui Bhutto were living abroad and alleged that President Asif Zardari had held Begum Nusrat Bhutto and Sanam Bhutto hostage.

Condemning the arrest of PPP-SB workers, she termed it political victimisation. She said that the PPP-SB would move court.

Answering a question, she said that five workers of her party were picked up from outside the Al-Murtaza House and whisked away to the Civil Lines police station but no FIR against them had been registered.

A heavy contingent of police late on Saturday night surrounded the house of PPP-SB local leader Dr Sikandar Jatoi to arrest him but he was not at the place, she said.

She said that police had arrested Inayat Umrani, the divisional organiser of the PPP-SB, Larkana, Sarwar Narejo, Wazeer Kuriyo, Dital Narejo and Imdad Khohkar (the kamdars of Ghinwa Bhutto). There whereabouts were not known, she said.

Meanwhile, situation grew tense when the Keti Mumtaz police on the complaint of Mohammad Bakhsh Junejo, the Kamdar of Benazir Bhutto and Sanam Bhutto, lodged cases against 15 people, including the kamdars of Ghinwa Bhutto and the activists of the PPP-SB on Sunday.

Those nominated in the two FIRs include Mazno Narejo, Shabbir Narejo, Asghar Mirani, Dr Sikandar Jatoi, Inayat Umrani, Saindad Shaikh, Nazeer Shaikh, Bangul Channa, Hoat Junejo, Allahdino Narejo and Sattar Narejo.

The complainant alleged that the accused had come to the farm in Phulpoto village near the shrine of Bhooral Shah and taken away 16,00kg of wheat at gunpoint.

ASI Mumtaz Junejo lodged another case against the same people. He said in the FIR that when they reached the place, the accused issued threats and stopped police from performing their duty.

They were booked in both the FIRs' under section 13/3 HO, 5/6-2, 353, 148, 149 and 6/7 ATA.
