PESHAWAR, April 12: An Imamia Jirga on Friday demanded of the United Nations to draw a plan for an early withdrawal of foreign troops from Iraq.

The Jirga, which also organized a protest procession in the city, called for free and fair elections in Iraq under the supervision of the United Nations and subsequent transfer of power to elected representatives.

The procession was taken out from Kocha Risaldar and ended at Qissa Khwani Bazaar.
