PESHAWAR, April 12: The NWFP government has restored the facility regarding one non-prohibited bore (NPB) arm, free of licence fee to government servants including the employees of the police department.

Official sources said that the MMA government had agreed to the longstanding demand of the government employees and the decision in this regard was taken a few days ago.

But the home department issued an official notification on Saturday, restoring the facility for government employees including the police department to have one non-prohibited bore arms without paying any fee.

During the Mehtab Abbasi government, government employees were allowed to have one non-prohibited bore arm after paying a fee. The government during the de-weaponization campaign had levied 50 per cent licence fee on the government employees, sources said.
