Privatization of education opposed

RAWALPINDI, April 10: Ittehad-i-Assataza has warned the government that the privatization of education will be harmful for the country.

Speaking at a meeting of the association Prof Zulfiqar Haider Malik said that the private institutions will throw the highly qualified persons out of jobs to save money and the qualified teachers will opt for other departments or go abroad.

Consequently the education dept will be deprived of learned teachers and the mediocrity will prevail.

He deplored that in our enemy neighbouring country the govt had increased the pays of the highly qualified teachers and banned their leaving the country to stop brain drain. While in our country the qualified teachers are being compelled to go abroad.

The late scholar had analyzed in his book Tareekh Ka Naya More new turn in history, 20 years ago that if America succeeded to weaken Russia, it would try to control the reservoirs of raw material of the world.
