LAHORE, Dec 4: Wapda has given a ‘last chance’ to government, semi-government and attached autonomous bodies and organizations to clear at least 50 per cent of their power dues by Wednesday (today) or face disconnection on Thursday (Dec 6).
Official sources told APP here on Tuesday that the Wapda chief had directed all chief executives of electric supply companies to switch off power supply to all defaulters on the expiry of the deadline.
The departments will have to clear 50 per cent of their dues by Dec 5 and remaining by Dec 31.
Sources said the deadline for payment of dues which had been extended several times on the request of certain departments “will not be extended further.” —APP
