DERA GHAZI KHAN, April 6: The weekly cattle market at Rojhan Mazari Chowk on Indus Highway lacked routine activity on Saturday.

Sources told Dawn on Sunday that the Kashmor killings followed by threats that Rojhan Mazari will be the next target of Bugti tribesmen have scared the residents of the town.

A number of residents of Rojhan Mazari said they had been feeling very insecure because the Punjab police and the Rangers could not stop the infiltration of outlaws from Bugti area.

They demanded heavy deployment of Baloch Levy in the town and the chowk.

Commandant Dr Raheel said that Baloch Levy staff had been stationed at Rojhan Chowk with police and elite force personnel.

Mazaris’ elder Liaquat Khan said the number of Baloch Levy personnel deployed at the town was not sufficient. Besides, the force required modern arms and means of communication.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that at least 400 posts have been lying vacant in Baloch Levy since long.
