Hailstorm, rains lash twin cities

RAWALPINDI, April 2: Hailstorm followed by rains on Wednesday evening lashed the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad bringing a pleasant change in the weather.

The  Met office recorded 1.2mm of rains in the morning  and about  1.5mm in the evening. The rains accompanied by  hailstorm were caused by the westerly wave system, said a weather official. The  weather, which had become hot, suddenly changed after Wednesday rains.

The weather men have forecast more rains along with thunderstorm and hailstorm.
