54 students granted bail

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, March 31: A local civil judge on Monday  granted bail to 54 students of the Gomal University Law College.

The police had arrested about 60 students for blocking a road in front of the varsity, when they were demanding readmission of some of their fellow students who had been expelled from the college some six months back for violating college rules.

However, six of them were not granted bail.

ONE KILLED: A man was shot dead, allegedly, by his rivals on Sunday.

Alamgir a resident of Kanori village, was shot dead by his rivals over an old dispute.  

The Kulachi police have registered a case against six persons, Shah Behram, Akbar, Shah Jahan, Ameer Jan, Maju and Ramzan, under section 302 and started investigation.
