SHIKARPUR: Security tightened

SHIKARPUR, March 26: District Nazim Mohammad Arif Khan Mahar presided over a meeting on Thursday to review the law and order situation in the district.

The meeting decided to announce emergency in hospitals of the district and intensify security measures at the Parco station, Wapda electricity supply points, grid stations, Sui gas stations, bridges and railways stations and railway lines.

The measures are being taken to apprehend any untoward incident in the wake of the US-led attack on Iraq. The meeting also decided to set up a control room at the municipal office.
