PESHAWAR: Probe body set up

PESHAWAR, March 25: The NWFP government has set up an inquiry committee to look into reports that some out of course questions were asked in Islamiyat and Urdu papers in the ongoing Class IX examinations of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Peshawar.

According to a statement issued here on Tuesday, the NWFP Governor, Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, directed the authorities concerned to take a serious notice of the reports about out of course question papers set for the exams.

Presiding over a meeting here, the governor said disciplinary action should be taken against responsible officials and in future such lapses should be avoided.

He constituted a committee to examine the entire process of examination and define parameters of courses for all classes.
