ISLAMABAD, April 1 The government has appointed a veteran PPP leader as adviser to the ministry of labour and manpower on a two-year contract.
Hafeezullah Cheema has assumed the charge of his post, a notification issued by the ministry said, adding that the appointment was approved by the prime minister.
Mr Cheema hails from Sargodha and has a long association with People's Party. He held different portfolios during Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's government in the 70s.
