SHEIKHUPURA, March 24: Local MMA leaders have condemned bombardment by the US and its allies on innocent Iraqis.

Talking to newsmen here on Monday, the MMA leaders including Shaikh Jamil Ahmad, Nazir Ahmad Virk and Mohammed Ramzan said Bush was killing Iraqis just to seize oil resources.

They feared if the US and its allies succeeded in their nefarious designs, their next target would be Syria, Iran and Pakistan.

The local Christian community has also opposed the US invasion. At a meeting, they offered special prayers for the success of Iraqi people.

The Pakistan Journalist Council has also criticized the US attack.

EYE CAMP: Progress and prosperity of the industrial sector depends on the stability and prosperity of the country.

This was stated by Punjab Revenue Minister Gul Hameed Khan Rokri while speaking at the concluding day of a free eye camp here on Monday.

The minister said a number of industrial units had been set up on both sides of the Faisalabad Road, but it was a matter of concern that there was no trust for the welfare and betterment of industrial workers in this area. He urged the industrialists to cooperate with the government and set up trust hospitals and schools in their area.

MNA Khurram Munawwar Manj and MPA Abid Husain Chattha also spoke on the occasion.
