PESHAWAR, March 24: The Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) wiil provide 200kva capacity additional transformers to Peshawar.

These transformers will be provided to the Peshawar circle of Pesco to ensure early replacement of damaged transformers and to help meet any emergency in the provincial capital.

According to an official press release, this was told to the Pesco’s Peshawar circle authorities during a meeting by the company’s chief executive Brig Tahir Saeed Malik.

The Pesco chief asked the Peshawar circle to improve its efficiency directing the senior authorities of the circle to bring down the line losses and ensure recovery of arrears from the defaulters.

The Peshawar circle authorities were asked to closely monitor the performance of linemen and field staff to fix the responsibility for power theft and non-recovery of electricity arrears.
