KARACHI, March 17: Abdul Hamid Haqani, father of a Dawn staffer, Abdul Qayum Haqani, died here on Monday. He was 70.

The late Mr Haqani was a former business manager of the Hurriyat daily, where he served from Aug 17, 1977 to Aug 31, 1981.

Soyem will be held on Wednesday at his residence, A/489, Sector 11-A, North Karachi, between Asr and Maghrib prayers.
