KARACHI Mohajir Qaumi Movement (Haqiqi) leaders Afaq Ahmed and Aamir Khan were sentenced to 25 years imprisonment on Wednesday, DawnNews reported.

The verdict was announced at a court setup in Karachi Central Jail.

Afaq and Aamir were facing charges for the 1992 kidnapping and murder of one Farooq Siddiqui.

Afaq Ahmed said the verdict was not unexpected.

“I refused offers from the government and now I am facing the consequences,” Afaq said.

However, Aamir Khan said he will appeal the decision in the Sindh High Court. — DawnNews
