LAHORE, March 15: Two accountability courts extended on Saturday physical remand of ex-MPA Chaudhry Hakim Ali for 15 days each in two references.
The Punjab National Accountability Court sought extension to his remand for the second time in view of collecting details of frauds in both the references.
Hakim Ali and another accomplice, Khalid Mahmood, were absconded when the NAB took up Dhana Singh village (now Federal Housing Colony, Lahore) land scam. The two had sold 1,887 kanals of the government land to NICFC through fake mutations, causing a loss of Rs77.71 million to the national exchequer.
Hakim is alleged to have borrowed a clean loan (without furnishing collateral guarantees) from the NICFC.—APP
