PESHAWAR, March 10: NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani has said the government has scored effective points by re-determining the direction of an efficient service delivery system at the gross-roots level. “The services will facilitate the man in the street”, he added.
Talking to a representative delegation from Bannu here on Monday, Mr Durrani said the present government’s step reversed the entire system of governance and made it in consonance with the peoples’ aspirations.
“Now decisions are made on merit and in consultation with the people,” he said, adding that the public interest would continue to be held supreme, and individual opinion and interest would be subordinated to those of the nation.
Mr Durrani said: “We have put a break to all those wrongdoings that had jolted the public sector institutions and eroded their credibility. The philosophy of Islam revolves around the well-being of the people, their economic uplift and stability of the state’s economy.”
