KARACHI, March 10: The Pakistan People’s Party on Monday said that declaring the Legal Framework Order

(LFO) “legal and integrated part of the Constitution” will cause a “severe blow” to the judiciary.

“The Supreme Court of Pakistan had provided a complete roadmap for holding general elections in the Syed Zafar Ali case after Oct 12, 1999,” a spokesman for the PPP said, adding that violation of the court’s ruling and the Constitution would endanger security of the country.

He alleged that although the apex court had defined the limits of President Musharraf, but in order to prolong his rule, the general held a dubious referendum. —PPI
