Two injured in Faisalabad mosque attack

FAISALABAD, March 9: Two people were injured when a masked terrorist opened indiscriminate fire on a mosque in Gulistan Colony on Sunday morning.

About three dozen people were present in Muqaddas mosque at Awan Chowk in Gulistan Colony after the Fajr prayers when a masked terrorist opened indiscriminate fire on them. Two people —- Haji Aftab Ahmed and Muhammad Binyamin —- suffered serious bullet wounds. The terrorist fled from the scene.

The area people removed the injured to the Allied Hospital. They were stated to be in a critical condition.

The mosque was that of Ahle Hadith sect. Local people said there was no tension between Sunni and Shia sects in the area.
