ISLAMABAD, March 6: The district and sessions judge, Chaudhary Asad Raza, here on Thursday acquitted a murder accused after reconciliation between the two parties.
Tahir Rahman had allegedly killed a woman, Bakht Zareen, in the jurisdiction of Sihala police station on May 27, 2001.
Both the sides presented the reconciliation papers in the court.
In another case, the district and sessions judge has accepted the bail application of an accused involved in drug smuggling.
Safia Bibi was arrested by Tarnol police on charges of carrying four kilogram of Charas while she was travelling to Lahore.
Pleading the case, her counsel told the court that the police under mala fide intentions involved the woman in the fake drug smuggling case.
He said he had submitted an application with SSP Islamabad for the inquiry of the case but he marked the application to SHO Muhammad Hussain Lasi, who filed a fake case against his client. He pleaded that the court should hold judicial inquiry into the matter.
Meanwhile, the additional district and sessions judge, Chaudhary Muhammad Younas, rejected the bail application of a person, who had allegedly made a woman hostage in the jurisdiction of Sihala Police Station on gunpoint and took away with him valuables, including gold ornaments and cash worth thousands of rupees. In another case, the additional district and sessions judge rejected the bail application of an accused involved in snooker club murder case. Muhammad Pervez was allegedly killed by Muhammad Shahzad in a snooker club at I-10 Markaz.
After the completion of the hearing, the court rejected the bail application of the accused.
