Chemical Engg curriculum prepared

LAHORE, March 6: The National Curriculum Revision Committee (NCRC) of the Higher Education Commission has prepared the chemical engineering curriculum for postgraduate level for the first time in the country.

The three-day meeting, which concluded on Thursday, also revised the chemical engineering curriculum for graduate level.

Held at the HEC regional office here, the meeting was coordinated by HEC assistant director curriculum Muhammad Tahir Ali Shah and convened by Prof Dr A.K. Salariya of the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.

The meeting recommended that all the universities and institutions should make arrangements for practical training of their students in industrial organizations during summer vacation.

It said the practical training should be held in the third year of the course.

The committee also stressed that the laboratories of the teaching institutions should be equipped with the latest apparatus and computers. It said that extension lectures by the experts in the relevant field should also be arranged.
