SAHIWAL: The Punjab needs a large dam to overcome irrigation water shortage, according to Irrigation Minister Amir Sultan.

Talking to newsmen at the Jashn-i-Baharan festival on Sunday, he said a consensus was required among the provinces on the Kalabagh dam.

He added that Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi would meet Prime Minister Mir Zafrullah Khan Jamali to discuss the pros and cons of the dam.
