QUETTA, March 1: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Mohammad Yusuf has said that good governance is important for strengthening the democratic institutions, besides operating an active administrative set up.

Speaking to district officers here on Thursday, he advised them to work with utmost honesty and total dedication, and asked them to implement uplift plans and projects in time.

Jam Yusuf assured the officers that his government would try to resolve people’s problems in shortest period of time.

On this occasion, the chief minister sought cooperation of these public servants, especially of the provincial and district administration officials.

He advised them to prepare workable schemes so that those could be implemented for the maximum benefit of the masses.

The chief minister stressed the need for setting examples of good governance, better management, workable development schemes and for plugging leakages of resources. He would not tolerate any wastage of the resources by any one, Mr Jam warned officers.

“Our top priority is to rehabilitate those people who have migrated from the home due to the prolonged drought,” Jam Yusuf told the officials.

He instructed the district official to give priority to education sector and bring some improvement in it and held out assurance that he would remove all hurdles in the way of imparting quality education to children.

The chief minister instructed the district officers concerned to prepare a report for solving the water shortage problem in Sibi.
