LAHORE, March 1: Power supply disruptions for long durations continued to cause serious problems for Lahorites on Saturday.

The disruptions began in all parts of the provincial metropolis with the rainstorm on Friday night and continued till Saturday afternoon.

In many areas, power supply remained suspended for hours. Water supply was also affected because of discontinuation of the power supply.

Gulshan-i-Ravi, Allama Iqbal Town, Saidpur, Hanjarwal, Canal View, Samanabad, Rasool Park, Nawankot, Sabzazaar, Islamia Park, Mohni Road, Infantry Road, Misri Shah, Sanda, Sherakot, Santnagar, Rajgarh, Rewaz Gardens, Mozang, Temple Road, Bilal Gunj, Data Nagar, Bibi Pak Daman, Walton Road, Tajpura, Baghbanpura, Mughalpura, some areas of Defence and Cantonment are among the localities with maximum number of power supply disruptions.

Power supply was suspended and restored from the grid stations in most cases in accordance with the usual Lesco practice.

With frequent power breakdowns having become a routine in the provincial metropolis, most consumers did not bother to lodge complaints for restoration of the supply.
