PESHAWAR, Feb 27: The Meteorological Department here recorded an earthquake of mild intensity on Thursday, a statement said.

According to preliminary analysis, the earthquake originated at 3:56am and its epicenter was about 350km northeast of here in Northern Areas.

The earthquake jolted Astore Valley.

Its magnitude was 4.7 on the Richter scale.
