Water and Sewerage Board to appear on March 6 and explain why a housing society was not being given water connection.
The SHC Employees Housing Society alleged that two cooperative housing societies adjacent to it on the Superhighway had already been connected to the KWSB water supply network. It had paid all the developments charges and dues, but was being denied connection on the pretext of water shortage in the Hub Dam.
A division bench, comprising Justices Mohammad Roshan Essani and Anwar Zaheer Jamali, asked the superintending engineer of the board’s WTM circle to explain the position on March 6.
NOTICE TO PIAC: The Sindh High Court issued a notice to PIAC for March 4 in a petition questioning its tender proceedings for award of contract for janitorial services.
The petitioner, a proprietary firm, alleged that it fulfilled all the requirements for pre-qualification as contractor for janitorial services, but was not being allowed to participate in the tender proceedings.
It requested that the respondent be restrained from opening the contract process without its participation on March 4.
A division bench comprising Justices Mohammad Roshan Essani and Anwar Zaheer Jamali also issued a notice in the stay plea.
