Ata appears before tribunal

LAHORE, Feb 24: One-man tribunal of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), headed by its general manager Zakir Khan, heard the point of view of former Test pacer Ata-ur-Rehman regarding his plea seeking removal of a life ban, imposed on him by judicial commission former Justice Malik Mohammad Qayyum in 2001.

Later, Zakir told Dawn that Ata was given a hearing for 45 minutes which was also attended by the PCB lawyer Syed Asghar Haider.

He said that no new date was fixed for next hearing and Ata could be called again any time if deemed necessary.
