QUETTA, Feb 23: Arrangements have been completed in the Balochistan Assembly for the polling for 22 Senate seats from Balochistan, being held on Monday.

For the province’s 14 general seats, four reserved for women and four for technocrats and Ulema, 38 candidates are contesting the election.

For the general seats, 21 candidates of Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-i- Azam), Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, Pukhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Balochistan National Movement, Balochistan National Party, People’s Party Parliamentarians and Jamhoori Watan Party are in the run.

The PML-Q’s six candidates are contesting for the women’s seats.

Another 11 candidates are contesting for the reserved seats for technocrats.

The candidates for general seats are: Mian Saifullah Khan Peracha, Baloch Khan Mengal, Nawab Ayaz Khan Jogezai, Sanaullah Baloch, Haji Liaquat Ali Bangulzai, Dr Azizullah Satakzai, Dr Mohammad Ismail Buladi, Rehmatullah Kakar, Raza Mohammad Raza, Syed Azam Shah, Syed Inayat Shah, Sher Ali Mazari, Mohammad Aslam Buladi, Mohammad Akram, Malik Mohammad Sarwar Kakar, Mohim Khan Baloch, Hussain Bukhsh Bangulzai, Mohmamad Ayub Jattak, Mohammad Naseer Mengal, Wali Mohammad Badani and Ayaz Khan Mandokhel.

The candidates for women’s seats are: Peri Gul Agha, Samina Raziq, Roshan Khurshid Buracha, Shazia Shahjahan Khetran, Shereen Noor and Kalsoom Perven. Amanullah Kanrani, Agha Faisal, Dr Jananzeb Jamaldani, Dr Sardar Mohammad Hussain, Saeed Ahmed Hashmi, Syed Fazal Agha, Abdul Hakeem Baloch, Kamran Murtaza, Ashraf Khan Tanoli and Maulvi Agha Mohmamad are contesting for the technocrats seats.
