ISLAMABAD, Feb 22: Pakistan can lead the developing world and the Ummah in information technology and scientific progress since it has attained competence in the fields, Sudan Ambassador Awad Mohammad Hasan said on Friday.
Speaking at a meeting held by Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South, he said science and technology could bridge the gap between the developing and developed countries therefore efforts should be made to overcome deficiencies.
The ambassador stressed the need for cooperation among developing countries in science and technology and eulogized the services of Comsats.
Zam Abdul Karim, representing the science and technology ministry of Malaysia, said her country was prepared for exchange of visits of scientists and students to enhance technical cooperation.—Staff Reporte
