ISLAMABAD, Feb 18: The Indian intelligence agencies are continuing to harass Pakistan’s diplomatic staff in what the diplomatic circles believe an attempt to downgrade diplomatic ties with Pakistan.

India has virtually paralyzed the movement of Pakistan High Commission’s staff at New Delhi, specially the personnel of defence wing, reports from the Indian capital say.

This attitude is being seen as an attempt to keep the pot boiling and further pick up diplomatic row with Pakistan.

The sleuths of Indian intelligence agencies are chasing, harassing and intimidating the diplomatic staff round the clock, according to the reports reaching here.

Even the lives of the diplomats’ families have become miserable and they can’t even shop around without being chased closely by the Indian intelligence operatives.

The sinister aspect of the whole situation is that even the children of the Pakistani diplomats, studying in Indian schools, are not spared and are subjected to ridicule.

The Asian Age of Feb 17 in its story by Chanadan Nandy, confessed that India stood a loser in the recent diplomatic row since all its Research and Analysis Wing operators working in Indian High Commission, Islamabad, had landed in New Delhi. —APP
