ISLAMABAD, Nov 27: The teams competing in the forthcoming Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Grade I cricket tournament will be allowed to include five guest players in a squad of 25, it has been learnt.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reported to have sent out letters to the associations in this regard informing them about the decision which adds that only three players can however be fielded in the playing XI.

In a related decision, the cricket management committee of the PCB has permitted the associations to include under-19 players in their Quaid Trophy first XI apart from the 25 whose names would be submitted with the board.

A notification of the PCB says that players who performed well in the national under-19 Grade I and II tournaments will be allowed to play in the Quaid Trophy.
