KARACHI, Feb 18: The Karachi Transport Ittehad and National Transport Ittehad have urged the government to reduce diesel prices otherwise they would resort to strikes.

The KTI, at its meeting, presided over by Syed Irshad Hussain Bokhari, urged the government to reduce diesel prices or increase the transport fares, otherwise they would stage a token strike on Feb 27.

The National Transport Ittehad said recent increase of Rs1.65 in price of diesel and 1.55 in price of petrol had made it impossible for them to continue their businesses.—PPI
