LAHORE, Feb 17: The standing committees of the Punjab Assembly would be set up at the end of the forthcoming session, Speaker Afzal Sahi said on Monday.

He told reporters that the committees would be much more powerful than they had been in the past.

He said the chief minister also wanted the formation of the committees at the earliest.
