QUETTA, Feb 16: A miner was killed and several others were injured when the roof of a coal mine caved in near Mach.

The mine collapsed due to rains in Marget area near Mach, about 80km along Quetta-Sibi section of the National Highway.

As a result several miners, who were digging out coal, were buried under the debris. One death was confirmed while some other miners were wounded.

It was reported that death toll may rise as the rain was hampering the rescue operations.—PPI
