FAISALABAD, Feb 10: Two youths were shot dead while another sustained serious injuries when masked men opened fire on them in a house in Pratab Nagar here on Sunday night.
Four friends working in a local industrial unit have been residing in a rented house for the last couple of years. On Sunday night, they were asleep when assailants entered the house and fired at them due to which three of them sustained serious injuries. The attackers fled from the scene by taking the advantage of darkness. The injured were rushed to Allied Hospital where Zafar Iqbal and Kashif Ahmed died while the condition of Hameed Anwar was stated to be critical. Jhang Bazaar police reached the spot and started investigation. The motive behind the double murder could not be ascertained.
When contacted, the Jhang Bazaar SHO said the case would be registered after the preliminary interrogation.
TWO BODIES FOUND: Bodies of two unknown boys were found lying along a canal bank in Khurrianwala, about 19 kms from here on Monday.
Some villagers of Chak 67-JB spotted the bodies and immediately informed the area police. The police sent the bodies to hospital for autopsy.
Despite hectic efforts of police and villagers, whereabouts of the deceased boys and motive behind their murder could not be known.

Two cows of Imtiaz Ahmed were taken away from Chak 191 in the limits of Chak Jhumra police station when he was asleep in his house.
Three cows of landlord Muhabat Ali were taken away from his outhouse in Chak 323-GB.
