KARACHI: Motorcyclist wounded by robbers

KARACHI, Feb 10: Motorcycle hijackers shot and wounded a young man and got away with his motorcycle in Buffer Zone late Sunday night.

The police said Pervaiz Suri, aged 35, was riding his motorcycle (KCD-0225) when armed men intercepted him. When Suri put up resistance to the bandits, they shot and wounded him and took away his motorcycle.

The injured man has been admitted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Armed men shot and injured Mohammed Ramzan and robbed him of Rs10,000 in Malir City late Sunday night.

Bandits robbed a cyber cafe in Soldier Bazaar late Sunday night.

The police said two armed men barged into a cyber cafe, held people hostage at gunpoint, and got away with cash and valuables, including wristwatches.

KILLED: A man died when a stray bullet pierced through his head in Baldia Town late Sunday night.

The police said Mohammed Shafeeq, aged 30, was hit by a stray bullet inside his house in Rasheedabad, Baldia Town.
