KARACHI, Feb 8: A young man committed suicide at his house in Saudabad, Malir, late Friday night.

The police said a young man, Hamid, was found hanging at his house. The body was sent to a hospital for post-mortem.

The family told the police that Hamid had been facing financial problems for the past several months. This probably forced him to commit suicide.

UTP DIES: An under-trial prisoner died in mysterious circumstances in Central Prison, Karachi, on Saturday.

Waliullah, aged 35, resident of Nazimabad, was arrested on a murder charge. The jail authorities said Waliullah had complained of chest pain, and on Jan 31 he was taken to Civil Hospital where doctors examined him. Doctors there were of the view that he was not suffering from any heart disease but from a psychological disorder. Wail was admitted to the prison’s hospital where his condition deteriorated on Saturday morning and he died.

KILLED: A woman, Jahan Rashid, was found hanging at her house in Mohammedi Colony in TPX police limits on Friday night.

The police said the body was 3-4 days old. Her relations found her hanging when they came to see her. There was a bullet mark on the body.

The police believed that the woman was killed, but the killers/killer tried to make it look like a case of suicide.

The dead woman’s husband, Irshad Ahmed, had been missing for the past three days, neighbours told the police.
