Conference on animal nutrition

LAHORE, Feb 2: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences will hold a two-day international Animal Nutrition Conference 2003 here on March 18 in collaboration with the Nutritionist Association of Pakistan.

Organizing secretary Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha told this agency here on Sunday that the conference was aimed at sharing experiences and informing Pakistani professionals about the recent breakthroughs and developments in the field of livestock and poultry nutrition.

He said that nearly 300 delegates from all over the world would participate in the conference and read their papers based on their life-long research and contributions to various fields of specialisation in three sessions of the conference.

He said the second main objective of the moot was to encourage Pakistani scientists to present their latest research for industrial benefit.

Dr Naseer said Punjab Governor Lt-Gen Khalid Maqbool (retired) would be the chief guest at the inaugural session of the conference while Punjab Minister for Livestock and Dairy Development Syed Haroon Ahmad Sultan would preside over the concluding session.—APP
